Basquiat produced a song, “Beat Bop,” for Rammellzee and K-Rob and additionally pressed vinyl in-house. He also made cover art — today, the vinyl is regarded as among the rarest in Hip-Hop. For the sale, 50 of the 500 vinyls in existence will be hitting the market with all proceeds going to the non-profit organization A Place Called Home, benefitting arts education for youth in Los Angeles.
Starting today (Nov. 2), half of the available vinyls will be sold via Phillips’ Dropshop for $4,000 each. The other half will go on sale in December through the King Pleasure exhibition store.
