Scarface Says He is Done With Rap
By Kiani Belgrave
Scarface has announced his retirement from rap as he plans to perform his last show in his hometown of Houston, Texas. During an episode of the Geto Boys Reloaded podcast with fellow Geto Boy Willie D, Scarface spoke about ending his professional career and starting a new chapter in his life.
The emcee says he is excited to perform his last shows as a solo artist and with Willie D as the Geto Boys. “The cool part about it is, I get to say farewell twice,” he said. “I get to go out there and say farewell by myself, and then I get to say it with you.”
Face will perform his final solo rap show at The House of Blues in Houston on November 12. The emcee revealed he is interested in exploring other genres’s admitting he is “done with the rap.”
“If I could, I would love to go into a different lane of music,” he explained. “Maybe blues or rock. Maybe alternative. I want to do something different now.”
The Houston emcee underwent a successful kidney transplant donated by his son, Chris Jordan, earlier this year. Congratulations to Scarface for embarking on this new chapter in his life.
