KRS-One and Big Daddy Kane Will Face Off In Next Verzuz Battle
By Kiani belgrave
The iconic hip-hop rivalry has been re-ignited. Big Daddy Kane and KRS-One will be the next artists to compete on the hip-hop battle series, Verzuz. On Tuesday (October 5), it was announced that the two emcees will face off live from Brooklyn’s Barclay’s Center on Sunday, October 17.
The battle was advertised on the official Verzuz Instagram account, asking fans to guess the silhouette of the emcees for a chance to win tickets to the New York City event.
The battle prompts the reignition of The Bridge Wars between the Juice Crew and Boogie Down Productions. The now-iconic beef spawned classic hip-hop diss songs, including Juice Crew’s ‘The Bridge” and KRS-One’s “The Bridge is Over.”
This will be the third-straight New York themes Verzuz battle after The LOX and Dipset, and most recently Fat Joe and Ja Rule. Who do you have the return of the Bridge Wars? Kane or KRS-One?
