Kid Cudi: "Tellin' My Story Is Scary"

Kid Cudi posted on IG yesterday (9/20) that he is writing his memoir. "Started writing the first chapter of my book," he posted. It's comin' together really well. Tellin' my story in my own words is scary, but I feel like it needs to be told. I feel like everything will make a lil more sense as to why you all met such a troubled boy in the beginning."

Cudi recently proclaimed himself "the most hated man in Hip-Hop" via Twitter where he posted, "I am the most hated man in Hip-Hop it seems, but I'm really one of the most blessed!!"

Kid Cudi has had an ongoing issue with Kanye West due to his association with Pete Davidson, and producer Mike Dean has taken issue with Cudi for dropping him from his festival lineup.

Still, Cudi has his sights set on television. As part of Netflix's Geek Week earlier this summer, the streaming service released a teaser for Kid Cudi and black-ish creator Kenya Barris' new animated series, Entergalactic. The series is based on Cudi's upcoming album of the same name, and the voice cast includes Jessica Williams, Timothee Chalamet, Ty Dolla $ign, Laura Harrier, Vanessa Hudgens, Christopher Abbott, 070 Shake, Teyana Taylor, Jaden Smith, Keith David, Arturo Castro, Macaulay Culkin and Kid Cudi.

Entergalactic, (which also features music from Cudi's album), follows Jabari, a young artist voiced by Cudi, who attempts to balance love and success in New York City. Netflix describes the series as "an explosion of art, music, and fashion."

Earlier this year, Cudi tweeted his excitement for the project. "I am so fuckin' proud of this show," he shared at the time. "U have no idea what ur in for. 3 years in the making. ENTERGALACTIC is the greatest piece of art we've ever made."
