Fat Joe and Ja Rule Will Face Off In Next Verzuz Battle

By Kiani Belgrave

Fat Joe and Ja Rule will be the next emcees to face off in a Verzuz battle. It has been announced that the rappers will go head to head in New York City on Tuesday (Sept. 14) at 9 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. PT. Tickets will go on sale next Tuesday (Sept. 7).

This will be the first battle since the uber entertaining The LOX Verzuz Dipset. The Madison Square Garden celebration of New York rap music was a recent highlight of hip-hop history. Jadakiss was a show-stealer, busting out acapella freestyles and reminding us that he is top 5 dead or alive.

The two artists were incomparable in the early 2000s, crafting hit after hit, Fat Joe and Ja Rule dominated hip-hop radio. Fat Joe and Terror Squad had New York City on fire with tracks like “Lean Back,” “What’s Luv,” and “Twinz”. Joe is still on fire crafting hits to this day like “All The Way Up” and “Another Round”.

Of course, we could never forget the run Ja Rule had in the early 2000s, crafting hits like “Always On Time,” “Holla Holla,” “Put It On Me,” and “Mesmerize.”

What do you think about a Fat Joe and Ja Rule Verzuz battle. Is it a fair match-up? Stay tuned for updates on all things Verzuz.
