Bel-Air, Peacock’s highly anticipated spin-off of ‘90s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, has landed a plum slot for its series premiere. The show will debut on Super Bowl Sunday, February 13, with new episodes airing weekly.

The show stars newcomer Jabari Banks as Will and is set in modern-day America. This re-imagined Fresh Prince reboot is a serialized one-hour drama take of the 1990–96 sitcom. The drama series will still lean on the show’s original premise. Will’s journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to the gated mansions of Bel-Air in sunny California. The one-hour format will give the series the time to dig deeper into plotlines inspired by the 30-minute sitcom.

The show's regular cast also includes Adrian Holmes, Cassandra Freeman, Olly Sholotan, Coco Jones, Akira Akbar, Jimmy Akingbola, Jordan L. Jones, and Simone Joy Jones.

Bel-Air is based on Morgan Cooper’s fan film that blew up on social media in 2019. The series is produced by Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith’s Westbrook Studios and Universal Television. T.J. Brady and Rasheed Newson serve as executive producers and co-showrunners. Morgan Cooper directs and serves as co-writer and executive producer. Also executive producing are Smith, Terence Carter, James Lassiter, Miguel Melendez, Malcolm Spellman, Quincy Jones, Benny Medina, and Andy & Susan Borowitz. Westbrook Studios and Universal TV serve as the studios.
