Killer Mike to Perform One Night Only Concert With The National Symphony Orchestra

Published Wed, May 1, 2024 at 11:05 AM EDT

Killer Mike is set to perform songs from his Grammy winning album Michael, with the National Symphony Orchestra on May 21st at Washington, D.C.'s Kennedy Center. The one night only concert will serve as the orchestra’s first self-produced collaboration with a rap artist since its concert with Common in 2017 and exists as an emblem of celebration for the foundation of black artistry in classical music.

As an artist, and activist, Killer Mike connects with the history of artistic innovation presented by the National Symphony Orchestra—most recently, the NSO’s collaboration with Maxwell sold out the Kennedy Center Concert Hall for four consecutive nights, and the orchestra has blended genres by performing with luminaries such as Nas (2014), Kendrick Lamar (2015), and Common (2017). Tickets can be purchased here.
