Astor is also the co-founder of the Fun Gallery, an art gallery that she started with Bill Sterling in 1981 and operated until 1985. The Fun Gallery, which is credited as the first art gallery in Manhattan's East Village showcased the art of Graffiti writers such as Fab 5 Freddy, Futura 2000, Lady Pink, Dondi, Lee Quinones, Zephyr, Keith Haring, and Jean-Michel Basquiat.
Fab 5 Freddy, spoke of The Fun Gallery in his IG post. "While we were making the movie the idea for the Fun Gallery in the East Village was born and you asked me to do a solo show there which was the 2nd exhibit and the rest of our crew also joined in including, Futura 2000, Keith Haring, Dondi, Zephyr, Kenny Scharf, Jean-Michele Basquiat, Keiley Jenkins, Arch Conally & Jane Dixon," he remembered. "We became the Fun Gallery crew & shook up the art world! Thanks for so many amazing memories, Patti Astor. Your star will shine bright until the end of time!!"
